Hey guys!! Oh boy what a great summer it's been! We've been so busy, it seems like we've got stuff going on every weekend! We've been to Belgrade to visit Teresa and her family.(Ty's sister) We took our 1st family camping trip to Glacier Park! It was AMAZING!! The kids did surprisingly great, we did the Going to the Sun Road always breathtaking, then we hiked around Logan Pass, there was still a lot of snow up there. On our way down we did the Walk with the cedars and decided to hike up to Avalanche Lake which was absolutely gorgeous!!! Ashlynn was a little trooper just hiking away, no complaining. Colter had the best seat in the house which was on my back :D He did great no complaints from him either. I have to say we're pretty darn lucky!! We stopped by The Vortex, House of Mystery and that was a lot of fun too!!
I hope you all had a nice 4th of July! We sure did! I ran in a 5k that morning, then took the kids to a parade, BBQ, and wrapped it up with a spectacular fireworks show! My Dad is coming home from ND in like a week in a half and everyone is so excited to celebrate his 60th birthday with him. We miss him so much and are so grateful for the time we do get with him. I have lot's of races planned so stay tuned to the fundraising portion of the blog. I'm considering pushing back the deadline cause there was a dry spell in races at the end of May-June. But I definitely need more takers here! I've been running MY BUTT OFF ;D I'm super excited though cause I just ordered an awesome hat to spread awareness during my races and I'm in the process of getting a shirt made. It's all about the cause and spreading the word about congenital heart defects. Cause although Colter is doing AMAZING he will always be plagued with heart disease and there will always be future surgeries and procedures for our sweet little guy;) So let's all do our part and fight for a CURE!
Speaking of the little man, ahhh Colter is doing just FAB! He had his cardiology appointment yesterday and no changes other than his heart looks BEAUTIFUL. His heart function continues to get better, his truncal valve regurgitates very minimally, he has good velocities through his PA's, and his conduit is still calcifying slowly. All good things!
The Doc commented at what a wonderful personality Colter has, he is such a happy boy. I tell ya if looks could kill, he's got a smile that could light up a room. He's always waving and smiling at the ladies no matter where we go he finds someone to flirt with!
I'm a pretty lucky Momma, I got one AMAZING husband and two kids that light up my life.
Here's some pictures from our Glacier trip!
