It's almost that time!!!

 From this..........

 To THIS.........It's amazing what a year can do!!
Let me introduce you to
Mr. Trouble-------------------->

 Hello ALL!! My word how time slips away from me!! I'm really going to put a serious effort into updating my blog at least once a month! Can you guys believe it's almost Colter's 1st BIRTHDAY!! EKKKKKK I'm so excited, I can't wait to celebrate such a monumental birthday with our little man. Oh what a years it's been!! Colter's has went through more in his first year of life then most of us will ever have to endure in a lifetime. Through all of his struggles, he's proven he's such a fighter, and truly has a purpose. With every doctors doubt, he's showed that he really is one in a million, and came out on top always proving them wrong. As I sit here and write this and reminisce on this whirlwind of a year, I can't help but think how lucky and blessed our family is. Although this year has been filled some pretty frightening circumstances, we've found great joy. I know that in the last few months I've been bad about updates, but honestly I've just been enjoying my family :) So thank you for your patience..

So an update on our little man Colter.... Well my friends he is just doing uhhhhhhh FANTASTIC!! On October 1st we had to go back to Children's for Colter's cardiac catherization. The procedure went great. But it brought us right back to surgery day, pager and all..It was hard, but we all got through it. Colter had a little trouble coming off s anesthesia  his o2 sats were hanging in the 70s so they kept in in the PICU for almost 3 hours. Tyler and I were getting so frustrated with the lack of communication. The results of the cath were good, they were able to do angioplasty in both left and right pulmonary arteries. Last cath only his left needed to be ballooned but now his right has begun to narrow as well. The Dr. said he didn't run into anything he wasn't expecting so all in all the procedure went well, and we'll be back for another in a year.

Some other big news is that Colter is officially on the move! He started crawling on Sept 29th.. It was such a great moment, and now he's into EVERYTHING!! At our last appointment with Dr.H, he was so proud of Colter, he even said that Colter was his "hero". Isn't that the truth! He said there's just not much that holds him back, and despite having a defective heart he's as close to normal as it gets. Dr. H told me he wished he could send more of his patients to our house. I felt pretty honored..

So I can't wait to show you all the pictures of the kiddos on Halloween. Colter's going to be a puppy and Ashlynn is Ariel, it's going to be so fun! All also make sure to update after his birthday to show you all the great pictures..

ONE LAST THING!!!!!! So as Colter's 1st Birthday is getting closer so are the holidays! Tyler and I decided we wanted to do something special for the families facing difficult times. We all remember how devastating it was to find out about Colter's defect, but then to spend all of the holiday season in the hospital was SO terribly hard. So we want to make a donation to the families in the CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit). To do that we ordered bracelets in honor of Colter, the bracelets say: CHD AWARENESS 1 in 100 and on the back they say: COLTER CROSS. (meaning Congenital Heart Defect.. 1 in every 100 births a child is born with a CHD) So I know for most of us in these economic times it's hard to make donations during this time of year, so that's why Tyler and I thought this would be perfect. The bracelets are only $5.00!!!! This is in honor of Colter's fight and to spread awareness of the deadly effects of Congenital Heart Defects. *REMEMBER THIS: CHD's are the #1 birth defect in the USA and cause more deaths than ALL childhood cancers COMBINED!!!! CHD's can never be cured and must be monitored throughout life.. So let's all take part in spreading awareness buy purchasing a bracelet for Colter! If your interested in purchasing a bracelet please email me at bobbiejocross@gmail.com  Depending on the response to these bracelets I might open a fundraising site, but I WILL keep you all posted!! I love you all so much and our family can't tell you enough how much your love and support means to us! GOD BLESS!!!!
