Hello All!! I just can't believe my last post was in 2013!! Holy smokes time flies!! We've been so busy but enjoying every moment of good health!

Colter has been remarkably well! He had a cardiac cath last August 2014 it didn't exactly go as planned. They ended up not being able to do the needed angioplasty in his PA's because they had to place a stent in his conduit. It was nerve racking as you all can imagine but the little stud powered through and has been doing really well!!

We have another cath scheduled for June 10th 2015 so please everyone keep the little guy in your prayers. At his last cardiology appointment (last Monday) Dr. Hardy thought he looked really great, his numbers were up very minimally from the last visit. They think with the stent placement in August that should buy Colter a little extra time before his next open heart surgery.

The kids have been so much fun as they're both growing so fast! Ashlynn will be celebrating her 7th birthday on Friday! She's excited, we're planning on taking the kiddos camping. Ashlynn learned how to ride her bike and Colter has officially mastered his scooter! They both love to be outside, Colter being the HUGE sports fan spends quite a bit of time running and pretending he's a Seahawks player! Tyler took a new job this spring which should allow me to finish nursing school. The only bummer is he has to be gone through the week. It's crazy how different the house is without him here during the week. One thing we get to do every Friday is go to his course and play golf, the kids have really taking a liking to it!

We're looking forward to the summer and don't have to many big plans, which is kind of nice for a change. We will be spending more time with Ty at his new course and I got a summer internship through the life science department where I'll be studying the hantavirus. I take nursing entrance exams on June 8th and should find out if I'm accepted on July 1st!! SAY A PRAYER!!!

In other big Colter news he started peeing on the potty!! He has done so well, I waited till he decided he was ready and oh my word what a difference that made! Potty training has really been well... Easy!! He's such a hilarious little boy, some of the things he says really just makes me laugh. We put in our garden last weekend and the kids had a blast. I don't know what it is about getting dirty that kids love but boy did they have fun! He got the ok from his cardiologist to start pre-school in the fall. Its all he's been talking about so I know he's going to love it! I think he's beyond ready to get out and start playing with other kids his age.

I've been volunteering/advocating with the American Heart Association every opportunity I get. Last spring I went to Helena and met with the Public Health board and testified on Colter's behave as to why pulse oximetry testing should be mandatory in Montana. It passed!! It was such an incredible opportunity that I will carry with me the rest of my life. I was honored to share Colter's story and I'm even more honored that all babies in Montana will  be tested for heart disease. I got nominated to attend Heart on the Hill in Washington DC but didn't end up getting chosen, which turned out to be such a blessing. Instead I had a booth at the annual Women 4 Wellness fair at my school and met some wonderful folks and I had the opportunity to share the effects of heart disease with a TON of people!!

Tyler, Ashlynn, Colter and I are fundraising right now for the 1st annual Heart Chase! I'm really excited cause I think the kids will have a TON of fun at this event! It's an exciting event that promotes healthy living and supports the great work of the American Heart Association! I promise to post pictures of all the fun we have!!

Life has been moving so fast it's just crazy to see how much the kids have grown! I can barely believe Colter is 3 1/2!! But it's really been great to just be busy and not busy dealing with medical issues. I'll try and be better about updating this or at least let you all know how he does in June. Much love you all of you~Bobbie
