I can't believe it's been over a month!!
Oh my goodness! Where does the time go? Well I'm sorry I haven't been updating, it just seems the weeks go by too fast. I've been having so much fun with the kids and Tyler that before I know it another week has passed by! Well I guess I should've read my last post to update from there, but I believe my last update was our little trip to Children's. Since then Colter has been doing FANTASTIC!!! He continues to shock and surprise everyone with his continued strength.
We've been working really hard to get him on a good bolus feeding schedule, which so far has been a success. He doubled the his consumption in one setting from last month, which is great. Still trying to find a good cup with a really slow flow to work on drinking with him, but in the mean time I've been trying water with a straw and he seems to do well with that. What he is really doing well with is his solids. He's been eating about half the jar at dinner, which always makes Momma so so proud. Everyday he seems to become more and more like your average 7.5 month old baby.
We've also taken him out on some outings, this has been so fun! Colter is just amazed with the world around him. It's so fun to watch and be apart of, it's also been nice to start to have a some what normal life again. Other than having to plan around feedings and such it's really been great.
I don't think I told you guys that at Colter's last pediatrician appointment he got ok'd to come in 1 time per month. (we were going every other week) We just had our monthly appointment with her and she thought he looked so good and is thriving so much that his appointments will now be the same as any other kiddo his age, one more at 9 months and then at a year! YYAAAAHOOOOO! It's so nice to not have to go to the Dr all of the time. Now as far as Cardiology appointments, I'm not so sure he'll be as gracious :) Which is ok, we have to stay on top of C Mans heart. Speaking of his heart I have good news at his last appointment (last week) Dr. H thought his heart function had improved some!!! YAY Colter!! He thought it was up to 27-30% from only 20%. We will take what we can get! We did find out that his pulmonary arteries are beginning to narrow. This isn't shocking news, nor is it bad news. We new from the start that with Truncus you always see issues with the pulmonary arteries. We knew that a cath was in his near future we just didn't know when. We did schedule his next catherization and that will be October 1st. He should only have to stay one night in the hospital and then we will be released to go home. He did great with his last cath and so he should do just fine with this one too. He is in a much better place physically now so we're not too worried, we look at it as maintenance.
So all in all things are going great, Colter's doing good, Ash is a little firecracker and doing great as well. I know I always say it but it's the truth. My family is so blessed, I feel so lucky to have us all together and healthy. Not a day goes by that I don't thank the Lord for all he's done for us. I'm spoiled, I have everything I need :) I hope you all are enjoying your summer, and hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July, I know we did!! Love you all and I'll try to be better at updating:)
He's getting so strong :)

This little guy is so adorable and after the wedding we are going to come and see him . We will call first to make sure it is alright. Love you guys and give your two beautiful children a hug. I missed seeing little Ashlyn at the shower, but Debbie told me why she wasn't there. You are a great parent missy....hugs and kisses!
